Dear Readers

Here we are, at the beginning of another year, at the beginning of another volume, but also at the beginning of the third year of the continuous publication of the Journal of Dental Problems and Solutions.

Since 2014 until today, a total of 4 issues and 19 articles were published, by colleagues from different countries. It is not so much, but we must build tradition of stability and regularity in publishing.

Until know, the journal has eighty members of the editorial board from all over the world. Keeping a scientific journal alive today is a difficult task because they are not popular as professional journals, they do not gain profit, but they help us scientists obtain aims that we have decided to pursue.

From its beginning the journal was opened for every reader to read it. The scope of the Journal of Dental Problems and Solutions includes topics ranging from the impact on oral health research of recent findings in such areas as dental disease, periodontology, endodontology, operative dentistry, fixed and removable prosthodontics, dental biomaterials science, long-term clinical trials including epidemiology and oral health, technology transfer of new scientific instrumentation or procedures, as well as clinically relevant oral biology, genetics and the brain, to innovative testing methodologies, to curriculum reform, to systematic reviews of clinical trials regarding oral, dental, and craniofacial diseases and disorders and translational research.

Nowadays, the journal has International Scientific Indexing, Polish Scholarly Bibliography, Sherpa Romeo, International Committee of Medical Journal Editors, World Cat, Mendeley, Live Journal and Sherpa/Romeo.

We will continuing to work on the improving the journal, but always with the same aim – the increase of quantity and quality of its contents, as well as keeping up-to-date with the technological standards. We will respect the criteria and recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and act towards increasing the quality of the journal, ensuring its timely and continuous publishing and making it available on-line for the Internet users worldwide
