    Dr. Ahmed Hammad is currently an assistant professor of general surgery, department of surgery, Mansoura University Hospitals, Egypt. Dr. Ahmed graduated Cum De Laude and finished general surgery residency at the same institute then he pursued hepatopancreaticobiliary (HPB) surgery and living donor liver transplant fellowship at Kyoto University hospital for 5 years, Japan during which he concurrently finished his PhD degree from the department of HPB surgery and liver transplant, Graduate School of Medicine, Kyoto University. Dr. Ahmed did a HBP research fellowship at Sunnybrook hospital, Toronto, Canada He is  currently doing a pediatric surgery fellowship at Ottawa University, Ottawa, Canada. Dr. Ahmed research focuses on the nutritional characteristics of liver transplant candidates, the impact of sarcopenia and/or sarcopenic obesity in such patients and perioperative nutritional therapy to improve outcomes in liver transplant recipients.

    Dr. Alessio Metere is a General Surgeon specialising in the surgery of thyroid, parathyroid, and other general surgical procedures. He attended several Italian hospitals and, as Visiting Surgeon, the Columbia University Medical Center of New York. He is also specialized in Clinical Biochemistry and is graduated both, in Medicine and Surgery with honours and in Biological Sciences with honours. He worked as Researcher at the Italian Institute of Health (ISS), focusing his field of research on the role of oxidative stress and innovative biomarkers in thyroid, parathyroid and breast cancers, COPD and Cardiovascular disease. Actually he is engaged as Endocrine Surgeon at Department of Surgical Sciences of "Sapienza" University of Rome and he is responsible for the medical practical activities of Degree Course in Medicine and Surgery of the International Medical School of “Sapienza” University of Rome. Since completing surgical training, Dr. Metere was subsequently engaged in PhD. by “Sapienza” University of Rome, where he is continuing his research on thyroid and breast cancer.
