Interventions to reduce blood pressure and ventilation and improve exertional symptoms during exercise in chronic illnesses.Use of neuromodulation to reduce blood pressure in patients with hypertension and heart failure.
Research Interest:Novel forms of optokinetic stimulation to enhance neuroplasticity of the brain’s balance and voluntary movement systems for recovery of voluntary movements and mobility after severe strokes, traumatic brain injuries and critical illness polyneuropathy. Other areas of interest include falls, reduced mobility in the elderly and both central and peripheral vestibular dysfunction. The main thrust is on investigating how visual-vestibular interactions enhance recovery and rehabilitation after severe neurological insults.
