    I started my research career in 2008, when I received a research grant from the Ministry of Science and Innovation (BES-2008-005371) to develop my Doctoral Thesis on wastewater treatment in the olive oil industry. During this period I worked in the Chemical Engineering Department of the University of Granada, where I developed teaching and research work in water and wastewater treatment, advanced oxidation processes and advanced separation by ion exchange and membrane technology.
